• Three-sided edge cleaning: Cleans close to walls, skirting boards, and furniture along both sides and the front of the brush head.

Smart Cleaning for Everyday Messes

The iLoop Smart Sensor monitors dirt levels while you clean. It adjusts suction power and water flow to match changing floor conditions. This helps balance cleaning performance with efficient water and energy use. Choose Auto mode for routine cleaning or Max mode for more demanding areas.

For liquid spills, the Suction mode collects water without dispensing additional water. Quiet mode supports less intensive cleaning when a quieter routine is preferred. These options make the S9 Scientist Complete suitable for different everyday cleaning tasks.

HydroBurst for Stubborn Stains

Some messes need more attention than routine floor washing can provide. The HydroBurst function delivers a targeted water spray to help loosen stubborn dirt. It is useful around kitchen work areas, dining spaces, and other frequently used parts of the home. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for appropriate floor types and cleaning solutions.

180° Lay-Flat Design and Flexible Handling

The 180° Lay-Flat design allows the cleaner to recline for access beneath furniture. Its low-profile design measures approximately 11 cm when laid flat, helping it reach beneath many beds, sofas, and cabinets. Measure your furniture clearance before cleaning to ensure a suitable fit.

SmoothDrive assistance helps guide the cleaner during forward and backward movement. The flexible head also supports easier steering around furniture and through tighter spaces. At approximately 5.95 kg, the appliance combines a full-size floor-washing system with a cordless design.

Three-Sided Edge Cleaning and Streak Reduction

The three-sided edge-cleaning design helps reach close to walls and furniture from both sides and the front of the brush head. This reduces the number of areas that may need separate touch-ups. The StreakFree Scraper helps remove excess water as the cleaner moves back, supporting a more even finish.

Results depend on floor condition, the type of dirt, and the selected cleaning mode. For best results, move the cleaner steadily and empty the dirty-water tank when needed.

FlashDry Self-Cleaning and Brush Care

After cleaning, place the appliance on its docking station and start the FlashDry self-cleaning cycle. The system rinses the brush roller and internal channels before drying with heated air up to 85°C. This helps remove remaining dirt and moisture, making routine maintenance easier.

For quieter drying, select SilentDry mode, which is specified at 45 dB(A) or less. Regularly empty the dirty-water tank and check the filter and brush roller. Follow the user manual for maintenance intervals and care instructions.

Battery Life and Charging

The S9 Scientist Complete uses a 6-cell lithium-ion pouch battery, with each cell rated at 6,250 mAh. It offers up to 80 minutes in Quiet mode and up to 60 minutes in Auto mode under the manufacturer's stated test conditions. Actual runtime varies with the selected mode, floor conditions, and usage.

2A fast charging supports a full recharge in approximately 3.5 hours. The display provides battery-status information, helping you plan cleaning sessions more conveniently.

Display, Controls, and App Connectivity

The Pixel Light Display presents key operating information, including battery status, cleaning mode, and self-cleaning progress. Color indicators also provide feedback about dirt detection and HydroBurst activation. The controls help you select the appropriate mode without complicated setup.

With mobile app support and voice assistance, the cleaner provides additional operating information and feedback. Supported voice-assistant languages listed for this model include English, German, and French. Check the app and regional documentation for current compatibility details.
