TeqClub's own experience of the JMGO projector: a practical and good device.
What immediately stood out to us upon unboxing was the packaging. It's not a standard box, but a sturdy, a good case that you can also use to carry the projector in. This is handy if you want to use it somewhere else.
The installation is straightforward. It's truly 'plug and play': plug it into the socket, pair the remote control, and follow the on-screen instructions. I was ready to go within fifteen minutes, without any complicated hassle.
Two things stand out to us:
- The built-in speakers. The sound is surprisingly good for a projector. The bass and the highs are clear, meaning you don't immediately need to connect an external speaker.
- after further tests, the Ultimate has the best speakers of the N1s series
- The automatic image correction. If you move the projector, the device straightens and sharpens the image by itself. That works nicely and saves a lot of manual adjustment. A flat wall obviously provides the sharpest image, but it can also handle an uneven surface reasonably well.
In terms of ease of use, it's also well-designed. You can use apps like Netflix directly on the projector itself, but there is also a standard HDMI port for a laptop, for example.
A few practical points to keep in mind:
- The power cable is about 3 to 4 meters long, so you will need a power outlet nearby.
- The fan is located on the back. For good air circulation, it's wise to leave some space between the projector and the wall, especially if you place it in a cabinet.
In short, it's a user-friendly and complete device that simply does what it's supposed to do, and in some aspects, performs even better than expected.
