Our Experience with the JMGO Projector
When the box arrived, the first thing we noticed was the packaging. Just like with the more expensive Ultimate and Infinity models from JMGO, the projector came in a sturdy and beautiful box. This is not only nice for unboxing, but it also doubles as a convenient carrying case. That's a clever detail.
Unpacking was done in no time, and the installation was a piece of cake. we are mot super technical, but this was literally 'plug and play'. Plug it in, pair the remote control, and go through the basic settings. I had a picture within a few minutes.
One small thing we had to consider was the length of the power cable. At about three to four meters, it's not extremely long, so you need to be somewhat close to a power outlet or have an extension cord ready. It wasn't a problem for me, but it's good to know.
What we noticed next is that if you move the projector, the image doesn't automatically project perfectly straight. With the more expensive models, this happens automatically, but here you have to do it yourself. Fortunately, it's quite simple. Through the settings on the home screen, you go to 'projector' and then to 'keystone correction'. A little tip from me: first, sharpen the focus and then adjust the keystone; you'll get the best result that way. Honestly, this is the only real downside I could find; you have to take a moment to set it up, but once it's right, you don't have to touch it again.
The Big Positives
But then, the positives, and there are plenty. The sound from the built-in speakers is exceptionally good for a projector. Usually, you quickly feel the need to connect an external speaker, but that's absolutely not necessary here right away. The sound is full and clear, which immediately enhances the viewing experience.
Another feature I find very useful is the ability to connect a keyboard. If you want to quickly look something up in an app or type in a password, it's much faster and easier than using the arrow keys on the remote control.
